Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Track

Applicants have the opportunity to apply simultaneously to our residency program and advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry. This track accommodates one resident per year, and allows for earlier experiences in child and adolescent psychiatry in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as rotations in pediatrics (in place of internal medicine). Additional opportunities in pediatric neurology may also be available.

After 3 years in the adult residency program, CAP track trainees enter into the fellowship program without the need to undergo the formal application process. Being designated as the CAP track resident also affords opportunities for mentorship by CAP faculty, as well as involvement in research or quality improvement projects over a longer time span.

If you are interested in this track, please indicate this on your acceptance of our invitation to interview as you will also be interviewed by CAP fellowship Faculty during your visit.
