Steven Powell, MD
I was born in California, but raised in Georgia and received my Bachelor's Degree from Clayton College and State University and my MD degree from Mercer University. I completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Dartmouth in 2010 where I have served as the Chief Resident. I was a also full-time firefighter/paramedic for over 12 years prior to starting Medical School.
My interests are focused in the interface between Internal Medicine and Psychiatry with specific interests in emergency care. I am excited to gain skills through the LPMR program to aid me in focusing and improving the way the two specialties communicate and care for patients with simultaneous needs in both fields.
My hobbies include reading, travel, and outdoor activities with my wife and 4 children in our current hometown of Windsor, Vt.
