Application format
- We accept applications only through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS). We do not accept any paper applications.
Position availability
- We have four four-year categorical positions available each year.
Interview dates
- The majority of our interview season occurs in November and December with one date in January. A personal interview is a required part of the application process. Applicants are encouraged to join the housestaff for dinner the evening prior to their interview day. During the interview visit, applicants will have the opportunity to meet with housestaff, faculty, and the program director.
Application requirements
Along with your ERAS application form, please include:
- USMLE scores (successful completion of Part I and Part II is required for NH licensure)
- An official transcript from the applicant's medical school
- Dean's letter
- Four letters of recommendation
- A personal statement
- ECFMG report and certificate for international medical graduates (this includes U.S. applicants attending medical schools outside of the U.S. as well as non-U.S. citizens applying from non-U.S. medical schools). In order to participate in an accredited Graduate Medical Education clinical training program at DHMC, foreign national physicians must seek ECFMG sponsorship as a J-1 exchange visitor.
Each year we receive approximately 250 applications, and send out approximately 75 interview invitations beginning in September.
We participate in the National Residency Matching Program.
