Transfusion Medicine Fellowship
The HLA typing training is provided in collaboration with American Red Cross New England Region (Dedham, MA). Training at a large blood donor operation with infectious disease testing is provided via a two-week rotation at Florida Blood Services (St. Petersburg, FL).
The Center for Transfusion Medicine Research provides unique opportunities in clinical and laboratory research in applied transfusion medicine. The Cellular Therapy Center participates in the cell-based immunotherapy program and supports a FACT-accredited bone marrow transplant program.
DHMC is a tertiary 380-bed teaching facility with solid organ, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation programs, pediatric and neonatal services, cardiovascular surgery, a Level I trauma center, and hematology-oncology services.
