Residents In This Section

During the PGY-4 year, the resident assumes greater inpatient service responsibilities, such as the performance of more complex surgical procedures and increased administrative responsibilities.

The PGY-4 year is spent on subspecialty teams at DHMC. The twelve months spent at DHMC involve added responsibility for patient care and outpatient clinical work-ups on the Trauma, Joint Arthroplasty, Pediatric and Spine teams.

During this year the resident will present the preliminary analysis of data for their senior project. The advisor and the resident will work on the presentation for our local faculty. In some cases, outside faculty and/or other collaborators will participate in order to enhance residency opportunities and the research experience.
