The section of Rheumatology conducts multiple conferences on a recurring basis as listed below.
Weekly
- Section conference
All faculty and fellows meet for presentations that rotate through several formats. Faculty will present major topic updates, research updates and journal club. Fellows will present interesting cases, journal club, research updates and basic science article reviews. Outside speakers who conduct basic science in an area of immunology are also invited to speak on a monthly basis. - Core didactics
Fellows will meet with various faculty weekly for a 2 hour session which includes review of all of the major adult and pediatric rheumatology topics, a 10-week immunology course, review of CARE questions, article reviews and presentations from faculty in pulmonology, pain management, ophthalmology, neurology, orthopedics.

- Radiology conference
Fellows and Faculty meet with one of the musculoskeletal radiologists to review cases from our clinics. - Muscle conference
The sections of Rheumatology and Neurology gather monthly to present challenging patients with muscle disorders. Patients frequently attend these sessions. - Board Review

Presented quarterly within the section, faculty and fellows present cases - Pathology conference
Faculty and fellows review pathology specimens with the chief pathology resident, including temporal artery biopsies, kidney biopsies, skin biopsies, etc.
