Research & Specialty Clinics

All fellows are expected to participate in a research project. This can include clinical or basic science research or quality improvement. In addition, all fellows will receive yellow belt training. The fellow chooses an area of interest and works with a mentor to complete the project. Some fellows choose to pursue additional training through completion of a Master's degree by applying to the Leadership in Preventive Medicine Residency, extending their training by 1 year.

Specialty clinics

You can also participate in the following specialty clinics:

  1. Dermatology-Rheumatology Clinic
Held once per month. Staffed by both a Rheumatologist and a Dermatologist and attended by both Rheumatology fellows and Dermatology residents, patients are seen by both specialists to coordinate and streamline care.
  2. Pulmonary-Rheumatology Clinic
Held weekly. Patients with pulmonary manifestations of a rheumatic disease are seen by both specialties to coordinate and streamline care. Fellows do not currently participate in this clinic.
