The Dermatology Residency program is a fully Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited training opportunity that recruits and graduates 3 residents a year for our 3-year program. All of our positions are filled through the dermatology match.
Mission
Graduate residents who are well versed in all aspects of the profession of dermatology, and are highly competent to enter independent practice or the subspecialty of their choice. Our graduates will serve their community and patients as leaders and role models in our specialty. Our program’s mission is to teach and model safe, high-quality care to our residents, thus serving our local community and patients and the physician partners who seek our expertise in our region. We aim to continually improve upon our efforts in health care delivery, resident education, and scholarly activities.
Program aims
- Educate residents to be excellent providers and teachers of medical and surgical dermatology.
- Produce excellent, independent practitioners who can successfully vie for any entry position of interest to them (fellowship, academic, career, group clinical practice, global health).
- Provide a comprehensive 3-year curriculum to learn tertiary, secondary, and primary dermatologic care skills in a variety of clinical settings in order to prepare residents to provide dermatologic care successfully in any care environment.
