The Dermatology Residency program is a fully ACGME-accredited training opportunity that recruits and graduates three residents a year for our three-year program. All of our positions are filled through the dermatology match.
Graduate residents who are well versed in all aspects of the profession of dermatology, and are highly competent to enter independent practice, or the sub-specialty of their choice. Our graduates will serve their community and patients as leaders and role models in our specialty. Our program’s mission is teach and model safe, high quality care to our residents, thus serving our local community and patients and the physician partners who seek our expertise in our region. We aim to continually improve upon our efforts in health care delivery, resident education, and scholarly activities.
- Provide a comprehensive three-year curriculum to learn tertiary, secondary, and primary dermatologic care skills in a variety of clinical settings in order to prepare residents to provide dermatologic care successfully in any care environment.
- Educate residents to be excellent providers and teachers of medical and surgical dermatology.
- Produce excellent, independent practitioners who can successfully vie for any entry position of interest to them (fellowship, academic, career, group clinical practice, global health).
