Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship

The Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) is a full-time, one-year post-graduate year 5 (PGY-5) position based at D-H and the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) of White River Junction, VT. We offer comprehensive training in Addiction Psychiatry that includes clinical experiences and didactic education in all aspects of addiction. We offer rotations in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential levels of care. Fellows work at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Addiction Treatment Program (ATP), the residential care units at the VAMC, consult-liaison services, a program for peripartum and parenting women, community-based programs, and a federally licensed Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). Fellows gain experience working on multidisciplinary teams and with patients in group and individual settings.

Our faculty includes board-certified addiction psychiatrists as well as nationally known experts in the treatment of dually and chronically diagnosed psychiatric and addictive disorders.
