Karen Hsu Blatman, MD
Dr. Hsu Blatman is the Section Chief of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Program Director for the Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Geisel School of Medicine. She has been interested in eosinophilic esophagitis since her A/I fellowship at Northwestern University. She is involved in clinical trials at Dartmouth for eosinophilic GI disease and peanut allergy. She also serves on editorial board of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

Faculty

Erin L. Reigh, MD
Dr. Reigh has been an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center since 2016. Her academic focus is on the use of graphic medicine in medical education. She is an artist and the creator of the “Marginal Zone”, an educational cartoon series published each month in Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. She has created video lectures on immunology concepts for the AAAAI education website and routinely uses her cartoons in lectures with residents. She loves to talk about art with patients and colleagues!

In the clinical realm, Dr. Reigh has implemented several penicillin allergy quality improvement initiatives at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Due to this work, she sees a high volume of patients with drug allergy in her clinic, particularly pregnant patients in need of penicillin skin testing. She also has a special interest in adults with immune deficiency, and preferentially schedules them into her clinic. She has extended appointment times for these patients to meet their complex needs.

Dr Reigh completed her fellowship training in Allergy & Clinical Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and her residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

Marcus S. Shaker, MD
Dr. Shaker is a Professor of Pediatrics and of Medicine at the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, and a member of the AAAAI Board of Directors and AAAAI/ACAAI Joint Task Force on Practice Parameters. Dr. Shaker is also an Associate Editor of Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and an Editorial Board member of The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology In Practice and the Journal of Food Allergy. Dr. Shaker’s research interests center around optimizing value-based care in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has published over 200 articles and guidelines.
 

Sarah W. Hughes, MPAS, PA-C 
Sarah graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program in 2010. She worked for nearly 10 years in primary care pediatric clinics in Colorado and California, caring for rural and urban underserved patients. While working in these settings she worked on multi-site quality improvement projects for improving management of asthma and atopic dermatitis in the primary care setting as well as a multi-site quality improvement project to update adolescent health screening and immunization rates. She joined the section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Dartmouth Health in 2020 and currently manages pediatric and adult patients with a variety of allergic conditions. She also runs the food oral immunotherapy (OIT) program. Her clinical interests include food allergy, OIT, asthma, healthcare disparities, and improving access to care.
