Program Details

The mission of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship is to provide exceptional, comprehensive training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry by combining foundational and innovative clinical experiences with high quality didactic training, expert clinical supervision, and scholarly projects that will provide fellows with skills necessary to become competent and compassionate clinicians ready for independent practice. The unique training afforded by our rural academic medical center will facilitate development of clinical, leadership, and organizational skills. This will assist Dartmouth Health in meeting the larger mission of providing each person the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time.

Our Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship program allows fellows to have broad exposure to wide ranges of psychopathology by offering a wide range of clinical experiences. Approximately half of the fellowship year will be spent rotating on the traditional consultation-liaison inpatient psychiatry service, and half of the year will be spent rotating on the proactive consultation-liaison inpatient service. While on the proactive consultation-liaison inpatient service, fellows will also have the opportunity to experience subspecialty outpatient embedded and collaborative care clinics.

Fellows will also have many opportunities for academic enrichment, including weekly didactic sessions and grand rounds, teaching opportunities, and opportunities to participate in scholarly activity and QI initiatives.
