Rotation schedule
Clinical training extends across all modalities throughout the program as dictated by clinical demands. However, there is a fixed rotation schedule that covers didactic training and competency assessments:
Year 1
- Introduction to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and clinical medical physics
- General radiography
- General and c-arm fluoroscopy
- Operations of the Radiation Safety Office
- CT
- MRI
- Angiography and the cardiac catheterization lab
- Ultrasound
- Radiation safety and radionuclide therapy
- Informatics and image displays
- Review / 1st year exam
Year 2
- Communication and professionalism
- Mammography
- Advanced CT
- Patient dosimetry
- Nuclear Medicine
- Advanced MRI
- Radiation shielding
- Clinical observations
- Review / final exam
