Headache Fellowship

The Department of Neurology is pleased to offer a 1-year UCNS (United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties) accredited fellowship in Headache Medicine.

Our goal is to educate well-rounded clinicians. As a Headache Fellow, you will have both inpatient and outpatient experiences. We will have you publish at least one paper over the course of your fellowship on a topic of your choice with help and guidance from our faculty.

You will have a monthly requirement to participate in a national call with headache fellows across the United States for journal club where you will have the opportunity to review an article for publication for Headache. Our goal is to develop skills in writing as well as reviewing.

Our faculty are members of the Headache Cooperative of New England, which hosts two meetings a year–Boston, Massachusetts, and Stowe, Vermont. Fellows will be asked to present their research at the Stowe meeting. We also ask that the fellows attend both the American Headache Society and International Headache Society (bi-annual) meetings. A $3,000 continuing medical education (CME) stipend is available to each fellow for assistance with travel.
