  • We have a supportive leadership team (00:40) and fantastic residents and chief residents (1:00) who combine to create a warm, collaborative and collegial culture.
  • Our residents go on to have very successful careers in primary care, hospital medicine and subspecialty medicine. Around 70% of residents pursue fellowship training post residency (2:15).
  • We have a 4+4 schedule which facilitates great work life balance and truly protected didactic time (2:45); with dedicated research time in PGY-1 and flexible research time in PGY-2 and PGY-3 years.
  • Our program has a broad mix of inpatient, outpatient, and consultative experiences at both a University Hospital and Veteran's Affairs Health System (3:40). Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is a level 1 trauma center, a NCI designated Comprehensive with a Case Mix Index equivalent to or exceeding the major urban New England medical centers (4:05).
  • We have a primary care track and pathways in medical education, hospital medicine, health equity, and an available ABIM research pathway (5:00).
  • Our local area is called “the upper valley” and is in a truly beautiful location (5:35).
  • The local area is conducive to quality family living and an active lifestyle; Dartmouth College attracts a variety of cultural activities, including theater, film, art, and a wide array of sporting events and hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, xc and downhill skiing are all on our doorstep (5:45).
