Fellows are assigned clinical or laboratory rotations that exceed the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) requirement for a minimum of 24 months of clinical training. In addition, all fellows receive dedicated elective and research time. The core rotations are as follows:
Clinical rotations
- Ambulatory Clinic: 1 half-day per week throughout fellowship
- Cardiovascular critical care (CVCC)
- Consultation service
- Electrophysiology
- Heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and congenital heart disease
- Intermediate coronary care unit (ICCU)
- Night float
- Veteran's Administration (VA) in White River Junction Vermont cardiology consults/ambulatory care
- VA multi-modality cardiac imaging
- Vascular medicine
Laboratory rotations
- Cardiac catheterization laboratory
- Cardiac electrophysiology laboratory
- Echocardiography
- Imaging: Nuclear, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
