Our Fellows
First Year

Robert Hashimoto, MD
I grew up near Seattle, Washington and spent my early years hiking around the Pacific Northwest. I attended the University of Washington for undergrad and was thrilled to subsequently join the team at Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho as a photolithography engineer in Research and Development and later as a Lead Engineer. Incentivized by scholarships and family ties, I moved across the country to San Antonio for medical school and pursued residency at Baylor in Houston, Texas. I then interviewed across the country for GI fellowship expecting to return to one of my alma maters in Texas or Seattle but immediately grew enchanted by the congeniality of the attendings and fellows at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. We made a leap of faith and moved Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to #1 on the rank list and we have never looked back; our faith has been rewarded in every way.

Katherine Webber, MD
I was raised in Newton, Massachusetts and spent many weekends coming up to our family’s ski house at Okemo Mountain, where I learned how to ski and snowboard. I then spent 8 years in New Orleans, where I completed both undergraduate and medical school at Tulane University, spending my free time immersed in jazz music, crawfish and Mardi Gras parades. I’ve slowly made my way back up north, starting with Vanderbilt for internal medicine residency and now Dartmouth for fellowship! I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing group of GI providers and am particularly interested in immune mediated GI disease such as IBD, celiac, EoE, autoimmune hepatitis, PCS. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my husband, newborn baby, and pet corgi. I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, snowboarding, going to the beach on cape cod and Broadway musicals!
Second Year

Megan Hennessey, MD
I grew up in Chelmsford Massachusetts and have spent most my life in New England, aside from the 4 years I lived in DC when I was in medical school at George Washington University. I completed my internal medicine residency at Dartmouth and was won over by the collegial atmosphere at the hospital and the natural beauty of the upper valley, and was thrilled to be able to stay for GI fellowship. I’m planning on pursuing general GI with areas of interest in immune mediated conditions and medical education. Outside of the hospital I enjoy growing flowers and vegetables in our garden, cooking, skiing with my husband, hitting the local trails, and exploring the upper valley to find the best secret swimming spots.

Jamie Horrigan, MD
I grew up in Hopkinton, Massachusetts where the Boston Marathon starts. I then moved to New York as part of the Siena College/Albany Medical College early assurance medical program which focused on service, the humanities, and ethics to create more compassionate physicians. During my fourth year of medical school, I did an away rotation at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in GI and absolutely loved the people, the area, and the beautiful hospital. It was an easy decision to rank Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center #1 for residency. I then stayed on for a chief year and was thrilled to match into GI fellowship here. Within GI, my interests are in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Outside of medicine, I enjoy anything water related in the summer, especially waterskiing and paddle boarding, downhill skiing in the winter, trying new recipes, and going for long walks. My husband and I live in Lebanon with our 2 cats, Leo and Luna.
Third Year

Obaida Dairi, DO
Born in the Hartford, Connecticut and raised in the suburbs of Chicago (but a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan!), I moved back to New England and up to Dartmouth for my internal medicine residency. I then completed a Chief year and stayed on for GI fellowship! In my free time I love to spend time with my wife and son, spend time in the outdoors, play soccer, grill up new recipes, and check out the breweries! Feel free to reach out with questions: obaida.dairi@hitchcock.org

Lauren Eichenwald, MD
I was born in Southern California and majored in mathematics at Bowdoin College in southern Maine, where I completed an honors thesis on developing a mathematical model of lobster heart contraction. After college, I spent 2 years conducting biophysics research at Johns Hopkins University before pursuing a career in medicine. I earned my medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia and completed my internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. My clinical interests include hepatopancreaticobiliary disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my one-year-old, playing soccer, running, baking, and painting.
