In order to be eligible for application to postgraduate medical training at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, graduates from medical schools outside the United States and Canada must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
Applicants who are non-U.S. citizens must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment to an accredited Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Training Program:
- Have the ability to obtain the appropriate visa as applicable.
- Be fully competent in written and oral English.
- Be willing and able to appear for an interview.
This program supports ECFMG J-1 visa sponsorship for fellows enrolled in postgraduate medical education. We will also support an H-1B temporary work visa under certain circumstances.
