Vascular Surgery Fellowship Interview Day

Interview day overview

Candidates should arrive by 6:50 am on the day of their interview.

Interview Day will end at approximately 1:15 pm. Please see the Sample Candidate Schedule (PDF) for details.

Directions and parking

From Route 120, take Lahaye Drive to Hitchcock Loop Road. Please park on the top level of the parking garage and take the stairs or the elevator down to level 4 where you will enter the medical center via the Faulkner Building. Directions to Reception 3V can be found below.

Location and contact information

The Vascular Surgery Administrative Offices are located in Building 2, Level 3 near the East Entrance to the Medical Center. There is no receptionist on duty that early, but I will come out to greet you in the waiting room of Reception 3V and escort you to the Vascular Surgery Conference Room. There you will have breakfast and learn about the program with Dr. David Stone, Program Director and Dr. Bjoern Suckow, Associate Program Director.

If you have any trouble on interview day, please contact Sarah Blum, Residency and Fellowship Coordinator at 603-650-4521 or send a text message to 802-291-3717.

Policies and agreement

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) require that each applicant to an accredited fellowship program be provided with the institutional policies regarding eligibility requirements and selection process along with a sample copy of the current agreement of appointment in force during interview season.

Please familiarize yourself with each of the documents linked below. At the end of interview day, you will be asked to sign off indicating you received a copy of these policies and documents. We will have additional copies on hand during interview day, as your signature is a requirement to be eligible for ranking in the Match.

Dinner with the fellows

At 6:00 pm the evening before your interview, the fellows and residents host an informal reception and dinner at Murphy's On the Green in downtown Hanover. This is a fun opportunity for you to get to know the fellows and residents in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Please let me know if you will be able to attend.

Travel and lodging

If flying will be part of your travel plans, we suggest you use the Manchester, N.H. (approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes) airport due to its proximity to Lebanon. Burlington, Vt. is also an option and may have competitive fares (1 hour 20 minutes).

A list of hotels up to 10 miles away from the hospital, as well as links to regional airports, hotels and ground transportation can be found within the Travel Information (PDF) document.
