Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Interview Day

Interview day overview

Candidates will be e-mailed a schedule for their interview day, 3 days prior to their selected interview day.

We will be using the platform, WebEx. If you are unfamiliar with this platform, please check out Webex’s website.

We use our corporate account, and your invitations should work seamlessly. We suggest using Chrome for it over Internet Explorer.

We apologize in advance for any minor snafus that may occur. While we are well versed in providing tele-care for 20-plus years, technology often has a mind of its own; regardless we look forward to meeting you!

Contact information

With any difficulties in logging into WebEx, please feel free to contact our Fellowship Program Coordinator, Rebecca Roberts at 603-650-4523/ 603-443-2087 or rebecca.d.roberts@hitchcock.org. We hope to make this day as smooth as possible for you so please do not hesitate to reach out with login difficulties or any questions whatsoever.

Location

We are so sorry we are unable to welcome you personally and give you a tour of the hospital. We hope this video gives you a taste of what the area has to offer!

The Upper Valley is a wonderful place to raise a family, explore the outdoors, further education (Dartmouth College, River Valley Community College, Community College of Vermont, The Center for Cartoon Studies, and more), a wonderful hub for technological businesses (Fuji Dimatix, TomTom, Hypertherm, Google, and more), and is rich in history and the arts.

Please check out this Upper Valley Life brochure we have created to give you just a snapshot of what the area has to offer (our very own coordinator, Rebecca, spearheaded this years ago and increased it to what it is today with our Human Resources Department for recruitment institutional wide). This is by no means everything that the Upper Valley has to offer. We have everything from ski resorts and amazing panoramic views at the top of hiking trails, to some of the most amazing craft beer, cheeses, and dining experiences, to hidden gems of galleries, shops, and more! Enjoy!

Additionally, please check out this video of Upper Valley life that our Adult Psychiatry Residency made several years ago. While Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is a program of its own, we frequently have opportunity to work with and teach our Adult Psychiatry Residents, and many friendships have been formed between residents and fellows over the years.

Policies and agreement

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and National Residents Matching Program (NRMP) require that each applicant to an accredited residency program be provided with the institutional policies regarding eligibility requirements and selection process along with a sample copy of the current resident/fellow agreement of appointment in force during interview season.

Please familiarize yourself with each of the documents linked below. On the interview day, you will be asked to sign off indicating you received a copy of these policies and documents. We will have additional copies on hand during interview day, as your signature is a requirement to be eligible for ranking in the Main Match.

About the program

Please visit our program website for information on our core surgical, vascular interventional, and inpatient training experience as well as sample rotation schedules and educational goals by postgraduate year (PGY).
