Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center supports a wide variety of electives for Critical Care Medicine fellows. These include procedural-based electives such as airway management, interventional radiology, and echocardiography; subspecialty medicine electives; laboratory medicine electives; and radiology electives, to name a few. Elective time can also be used to pursue research projects.
Our goal for the elective experiences is to allow fellows as much flexibility as possible to supplement their education in the ways that best match their long-term career plans. This flexibility includes the opportunity to create an elective to match a specific interest if that interest falls outside of existing elective experiences.
