Vision

We improve the health and wellbeing of every obstetrics and gynecology patient in Northern New England, and, through collaborative relationships, we promote and raise the quality of care for patients across the country and around the world.

Aims

  • Address the clinical problems, care delivery challenges, as well as the social and economic determinants of health unique to rural communities
  • Expose residents to high functioning collaborative practice models with certified nurse midwives and other advanced practitioners
  • Foster the professional development of residents as current and future medical educators
  • Leverage our relationships with The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Value Institute to develop physicians capable of leading change and improving the systems where health care and people intersect
  • Nurture a learning and living environment that supports whole person wellness
  • Prepare residents to be outstanding obstetrician-gynecologists in academic or community practice settings
  • Support graduates who plan to pursue subspecialty fellowship training
  • Train physicians committed to health equity and comprehensive abortion care, reproductive justice, and advocacy
  • Promote excellence in research through a structured curriculum and a mentored longitudinal project
