This fellowship is a 12 month fellowship, with 1 position available per year.
The Match is sponsored by the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) and will be managed by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). To become a Breast Imaging Fellow in the Department of Radiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, you must first register with the Radiology Match, of which Breast Imaging is a part.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Residents, current fellows and faculty who will have completed residency by June 30, 2025.
- US applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in radiology as well as have New Hampshire and Vermont licenses prior to the start of the fellowship. Attention non-US citizens: The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is required for entrance into the Breast Imaging Fellowship.

- Short (less than half a page) personal statement to include why you are applying to be a breast fellow, what you are looking for in a fellowship and why you are interested in Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center

2025 fellowship match information
SBI will adhere to the 2025 Match timeline set forth by the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD). Along with the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments, SBI encourages programs to hold virtual interviews.
Below are the dates for the 2025 Radiology Fellowship Match for 2026 appointments. The National Resident Matching Program determines match dates which can be viewed on the NRMP website.
- November 1, 2024: Programs may accept applications
- January 13, 2025: Virtual interview period begins
- March 2025: Match opens (specific date TBA by NRMP)
- March 31, 2025: Last day of interview period
- April 2025: Ranking opens (specific date TBA by NRMP)
- May 2025: Ranking closes (specific date TBA by NRMP)
- June 2025: Match Day (specific date TBA by NRMP)
- July 1, 2026: Training begins
