This fellowship is a 12 month fellowship, with 1 position available per year.
The Match is sponsored by the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) and will be managed by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). To become a Breast Imaging Fellow in the Department of Radiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, you must first register with the Radiology Match, of which Breast Imaging is a part.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Residents, current fellows, and faculty who will have completed residency by June 30, 2026.
- US applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in radiology as well as have New Hampshire and Vermont licenses prior to the start of the fellowship. Attention non-US citizens: The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is required for entrance into the Breast Imaging Fellowship.
Applications
Our fellowship program now participates in FellowshipsCAS, a centralized application service for fellowship programs. Applications for the upcoming cycle will be submitted through FellowshipsCAS. The application will open on October 1st. The application deadline for this program is December 1st. 2027 fellowship match information
SBI will adhere to the 2027 Match timeline set forth by the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD). Along with the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments, SBI encourages programs to hold virtual interviews.
Below are the dates for the 2026 Radiology Fellowship Match for 2027 appointments. The National Resident Matching Program determines match dates which can be viewed on the NRMP website.
- October 1, 2026: Application review begins
- November 1, 2026: Interview slots can be offered to candidates. No actual interviews can begin before January 11, 2027
- December 1, 2026: Application deadline
- January 11, 2027: Virtual Interview period begins
- February 10, 2027: Match registration opens
- March 31, 2027: Last day of interview period
- March 10, 2027: Rankings open
- April 7, 2027: Quota deadline
- April 21, 2027: Rank order list deadline
- May 5, 2027: Match Day
- July 1, 2027: Training begins!
