Policies and agreement

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requires that each applicant to an accredited residency program be provided with the institutional policies regarding eligibility requirements and selection process along with a sample copy of the current resident/fellow agreement of appointment in force during interview season. Additionally, it is a requirement of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Review Committee of the ACGME that programs notify applicants in writing of the pre-requisite training requirements as outlined by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Orthopaedic Surgery RRC.

Please familiarize yourself with each of the documents linked below. Prior to the start of your interview day, you will be asked to sign off indicating you received a copy of these policies and documents. We will have additional copies on hand during interview day, as your signature is a requirement to be eligible for ranking.

Dinner with the residents

The evening prior to your interview, the residents host an informal reception and dinner at Murphy's on the Green on Main Street in downtown Hanover at 6 pm. This will give you the opportunity to meet and get to know our residents in an informal setting before you spend the day interviewing. A separate invitation will be sent to you via Paperless Post. Please RSVP for the dinner through that venue.

Travel and lodging

If flying will be part of your travel plans, we suggest you use the Manchester, N.H. (approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes) airport due to its proximity to Lebanon. Burlington, VT is also an option and may have competitive fares (1 hour 20 minutes).

A list of hotels up to 10 miles away from the hospital, as well as links to regional airports, hotels and ground transportation can be found within the Travel Information document (PDF).
