Conference and Didactic Learning

In the spring of 2021, the Neurology Residency instituted a half-day academic calendar in place of a daily noon-hour lecture series occurring on Fridays. The academic half-day begins with Grand Rounds and Mega-Rounds (neurology resident presentations) and concludes with a 2 and a half hour didactic session including the following subspecialties and areas:

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Epilepsy
  • Ethics
  • Headache
  • Movement Disorders
  • Multiple Sclerosis – Neuroimmunology
  • Neurocritical Care
  • Neuromuscular
  • Neuro-Otology and Neuro-Ophthalmology
  • Neuropathology Pediatric Neurology
  • Stroke
  • Neuropathology
  • Pediatric Neurology
  • Vascular Neurology

Additionally, residents will have Thursday noon hour lectures in Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Medical Spanish and EEG Conference.

Residents also have the option to attend Neuromuscular Conference, Cerebrovascular Surgery Conference, Epilepsy Surgery Conference, and Tumor Board as their schedules allow.
