In the spring of 2021, the Neurology Residency instituted a half-day academic calendar in place of a daily noon-hour lecture series occurring on Fridays. The academic half-day begins with Grand Rounds and Mega-Rounds (neurology resident presentations) and concludes with a 2 and a half hour didactic session including the following subspecialties and areas:
- Behavioral Neurology
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Epilepsy
- Ethics
- Headache
- Movement Disorders
- Multiple Sclerosis – Neuroimmunology
- Neurocritical Care
- Neuromuscular
- Neuro-Otology and Neuro-Ophthalmology
- Neuropathology Pediatric Neurology
- Stroke
- Neuropathology
- Pediatric Neurology
- Vascular Neurology
Residents have didactic opportunities on Thursdays during the noon hour comprising of, Journal Club, Neuro-Ophthalmology, EEG Conference and the monthly Resident Meeting.
Residents also have the option to attend Neuromuscular Conference, Cerebrovascular Surgery Conference, Epilepsy Surgery Conference, and Tumor Board as their schedules allow.
There is also a resident-led Board Review session on Tuesdays during the noon hour that is optional.
