In the 2016-2017 academic year, a Physician Associate Otolaryngology Training Program was initiated at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The PA resident(s) was integrated into the residents' rotations and day call schedule, helping to balance the service and education components for the otolaryngology residents. At the Program Evaluation Committee meetings since 2017, the addition of this PA training program has been viewed as overwhelmingly positive by residents and faculty.
